Well here we are again.  A lot of lovely things have happened since I last blogged.

My great niece got married and it was a lovely wedding.  Hayley looked so beautiful, the sun shone and we all had a good time.
It was great to see so many family members who I don’t see as often as I would like. Lots of ‘catch up’ chats.

A year ago Hayley asked me if I would take a cutting for her from a rose that was her Nan’s before she died which I had brought home with me.  She wanted it in memory of her Nan for her wedding. Well I had never done this before but went ahead and lo and behold it thrived.

I took it to the wedding and surprise, surprise, one of the buds opened that morning!  I was so pleased.  Now it is in full flower - pic shown here.  The original is pictured on my Welcome page.

Then I had a lovely meet up with three friends in London and we went to Regents Park.  We meet up every year and have a great time.  Was so good to see them.  We had lots to chat about.

There was also the Swan Upping nearby where I live.  A group of us went to the river in case we could see (I live on the riverside). Unfortunately there were no swans near enough for the Swan Uppers to stop here but we saw them go by and further down the river we could see they had stopped.  They had found a couple of swans.
What else has happened?  Oh yes, a group of us from the Park where I live went to have Afternoon Tea at Monkey Island Hotel in Bray.  Monkey Island has a great history having been in use since the twelfth century initially by monks.  It is in a beautiful setting accessed by a footbridge.  It was another gloriously sunny day and we had a lovely time.
Unfortunately, no writing has been done!!  Although I have done a couple of reviews for fellow authors.  Guess I had better play catch up soon.
That’s it for now folks.  Hope everyone is enjoying the summer weather.
